WWE 2K23 Introduces Bad News U DLC: Game Modes, Merchandise, Items And More

The fifth and final DLC pack is headlined by Wade Barrett and Eve Torres, along with Andre Chase, Nathan Frazer, and Damon Kemp.

2K today announced that the Bad News U Pack, the fifth and final DLC* for WWE 2K23, the highest-rated game in the franchise’s history according to Metacritic**, is now available. The content is headlined by five-time Intercontinental Champion, former King of the Ring and current Raw commentator Wade Barrett, alongside three-time WWE Divas Champion and 2007 Diva Search winner Eve Torres, who makes her first appearance on WWE 2K in over a decade.

NXT wrestlers Andre Chase, Nathan Frazer and Damon Kemp also appear in the Bad News U Pack and make their WWE 2K23 franchise debut. These Superstars bring 46 new moves and techniques to the game, which can also be used to create custom Superstars in the creation suite. Each playable Superstar also comes with their own MyFACTION card. The DLC is available for purchase individually or as part of the WWE 2K23 Season Pass***, Deluxe Edition, and Icon Edition.

2K has also announced the inaugural WWE 2K23 Hall of Champions Invitational****. Eight WWE 2K NextMaker content creators have called out to the community to find their partner for a WWE 2K23 tournament. Entrants will be selected by submitting a promotional video on social media, which will be judged by 2K and NextMakers based on their originality, creativity, passion, and skill in playing WWE 2K23.

Those selected will be paired with a NextMaker and will play in an eight-team knockout bracket, “The Qualifier”, which will consist of online matches. After two rounds of play, the last two teams will go to a face-to-face event, “The Finals”, of which more details are still unknown. To enter, community members must create an original video of up to one minute and explain why they deserve to be selected to compete in the WWE 2K23 Hall of Champions Invitational, use the hashtags #WWE2K23, #HallOfChampions and #contest, and post your video as a response to the WWE 2K Contest Tweet on Twitter, or post it to your Instagram/TikTok channels (using the hashtags and tagging @WWEGames).

The new Danger Zone Series 2 card set on August 25 and the new Payback card set on September 1 will arrive this summer in WWE 2K23’s MyFACTION game mode. A new Evolution Hurts Faction Focus event featuring members of the Hurt Business will take place from August 18 to September 5, challenging players to use specific cards from MVP, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin in their fight to unlock an apex reward card. Diamond “The All Mighty” Bobby Lashley. The Ultimate Needle Movers event starring Rhea Ripley will run from August 26 to September 5, complete with a Diamond Chyna apex reward card. There will also be many more events throughout the summer and fall.
