The highly anticipated update to Valorant, patch Valorant 7.10 has finally arrived. The devs released the 7.10 patch notes bringing along some exciting new changes to the competitive shooter developed by Riot Games. The update introduces some highly requested Deadlock buffs to changes to specific Agents in the Team Deathmatch game mode. Apart from these, there’s a lot of stuff to discover in the Valorant 7.10 patch.

Riot Games released patch notes for the Valorant 7.10 update via their social media handles. The patch notes detailed every new change that the patch introduces in the fan favorite game.

In this article, let us walk you through the full patch notes for the Valorant 7.10 update and show you what the new update has to offer.

Valorant 7.10 Patch Notes Detailed

As earlier reported, the Valorant 7.10 update brings in some considerable buffs to the Norwegian Sentinel Deadlock. These buffs are focused on Norwegian Sentinel Deadlock’s GravNet, which was earlier considered to be the weakest ability that she possesses in the game.

Apart from the changes to Deadlock, there are other changes to Reyna and Fade in the Team Deathmacth (TDM) game mode along with a hostof other changes.

Here are the patch notes for Valorant 7.10 explained in detail as stated in the official blog post by Riot Games:

AGENT UPDATES

DEADLOCK

Now, in order to undo the effect, GravNet (C) requires anyone it captures to manually remove the net. Prior to this, you could get rid of being captured by either leaving the net radius or waiting for the effect to pass if you or the enemy were caught. This, in experts’ opinion, opens up a distinct power profile and enhances the gameplay for both allies because opponents have to drop their weapons and create noise in order to cope with the debuff. Additionally, by enlarging its radius and making sure that Agents such as Jett and Raze cannot trivially become entangled in it due to their mobility, the devs have improved the execution reliability of Deadlock.

  • Anyone caught by GravNet will now be debuffed indefinitely until they remove it
  • Anyone caught by GravNet will now be affected by increased gravity and a reduction in mobility (example: GravNet now reduces Jett’s Tailwind (E) distance)
  • GravNet removal time increased 0.85s >>> 1.5s
  • GravNet radius increased 6m >>> 8m

JETT

To improve the clarity of combat, Jett’s third-person animations have been modified while using Blade Storm (X). Now, it should be simpler to comprehend how she moves when rushing and throwing knives.

TEAM DEATHMATCH

  • Reyna

Reyna’s Leer (C) has proven specifically potent in the close confines of Team Deathmatch since it doesn’t affect allies and Empress (X) lacking a time constraint if she’s rolling has proven extremely powerful. These changes are meant to create more downtime between these power moments and push Reyna to prioritize orbs if she wants to try and take over with Empress.

Team Deathmatch only changes:

Leer (C) cooldown increased 44s >>> 51s

Empress (X) will charge 14% slower

  • Fade

In Team Deathmatch, Fade’s utility can feel a little hard to use and capitalize off of. These changes aim to help her track down her enemies and close in on them.

Team Deathmatch only changes:

Prowler (C) cooldown decreased 44s >>> 36s

Seize (Q) cooldown decreased 51s >>> 48s

PERFORMANCE UPDATES

  • Presets have been added to the stats page.

BUG FIXES

  • General

Fixed a bug where reverb was not being applied reliably to some types of sounds, including gunshots and footsteps.

Fixed an issue where Viper’s Pit (X) did not correctly block vision for enemies on the minimap and megamap.

Fixed issues with Fade’s Prowler (C) passing through certain objects.

  • Player Behavior

Fixed an issue where the report button text was cut-off for the Arabic language on the Player Report menu.

Valorant is a free-to-play first-person tactical hero shooter that has been developed and published by Riot Games, for Windows. It was initially teased under the codename Project A back in October 2019. Following this, the game began a closed beta period with limited access on April 7, 2020. Then came an official release on June 2, 2020. Reports suggest the development of the game started in 2014. The game is said to have taken inspiration from the Counter-Strike series. It has borrowed several mechanics such as the buy menu, spray patterns, and inaccuracy while moving.

Valorant is a team-based first-person tactical hero shooter game that is set in the near future. Players get to play as one of a set of Agents. These agents are basically characters that are based on multiple countries and cultures across the world. In the main game mode, the players are given the responsibility to either attack or defend the team. Each of the teams has five players in it. Agents possess unique abilities, each of which requires charges, as well as a unique ultimate ability that needs charging through kills, deaths, orbs, or objectives. Each player gets to start each round with a “classic” pistol along with one or more “signature ability” charges.

Other weapons and ability charges can be bought using an in-game economic system that rewards players with money based on the outcome of the previous round. If the players have had any kills and if the player has objectives completed, they get awarded with money. The game has a wide range of weapons. These include secondary guns such as sidearms and primary guns like submachine guns, shotguns, machine guns, assault rifles, and sniper rifles.

The game also has automatic and semi-automatic weapons each having a unique shooting pattern that needs to be controlled by the player. This helps them shoot accurately. Currently, the game offers 23 agents to choose from.

These agents are Brimstone, Viper, Omen, Cypher, Sova, Sage, Phoenix, Jett, Raze, Breach, Reyna, Killjoy, Skye, Yoru, Astra, KAY/O, Chamber, Neon, Fade, Harbor, Gekko, Deadlock, and Iso. The player gets 5 agents unlocked at the beginning when the players create their account. The five free agents are Brimstone, Sova, Sage, Phoenix and Jett.

Players are expected to unlock the rest of the agents by accumulating an in-game currency called Kingdom Credits. These Credits can be acquired by playing games or completing daily/weekly task. Every remaining agent from the given list can be purchased with Kingdom Credits. Kingdom credits can also be used to purchase and acquire cosmetic items from each agents contracts.
