Tournament Format

The M5 World Championship will feature a unique format with two main phases: the wildcard and the main event.

1. Wildcard Phase: The Wildcard tournament will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from November 23 to 26. Eight MLBB teams will compete in the wildcard round, and these teams will be randomly divided into two groups. The top two teams from each group will proceed to the crossover matches, while the two bottom-placed teams from each group will be eliminated. The winners of the crossover matches will advance to the group stage of the main tournament, while the losers will be knocked out.

2. Main Event: The main tournament of the M5 World Championship will be held from December 2 to 17 and will feature 16 participating teams. These 16 teams will be divided into four groups of four teams each. In the Group Stage, matches will be played in a single round-robin format with a best-of-three series. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, while the two bottom-placed teams from each group will be eliminated. In the knockout stage, the eight remaining teams from the group stage will compete in a double-elimination bracket. All matches in the Knockout Stage will be played in a best-of-five series, except for the Grand Final, which will be held in a best-of-seven series.
