League Of Legends Coach Neace Announces His Break From Content Creation, Shares Video: WATCH
In a heartfelt and candid video titled ‘Goodbye… for now,’ Neace, a well-known League of Legends coach, has announced that he is taking a break from streaming and creating YouTube content. While the future remains uncertain, Neace expressed no regrets about his decision, emphasizing that it’s time for an intermission. He also revealed that his video editors will be joining him in taking a break.
With a decade of experience in content creation, Neace shared his reflections on his journey in the League of Legends coaching and educational content space. He expressed contentment with what he has achieved and stressed that his decision is not linked to any waning passion for League of Legends or the game itself. Instead, he cited the need for a personal break from the demands of content creation.
Neace explained, “It’s not League or whether or not I want to play it, it’s more just the thought of getting on camera with a bright light on my face and talking about a video game, with people judging my every move, critiquing my voice, dealing with the ‘is he good enough, is he right enough, is he wrong enough, is he this or that enough’… At the moment, I’m in a particular state of vulnerability, and to be honest, [creating content] is the last thing I want to do right now. It’s the closing of a chapter that deserves an intermission.“
Despite stepping away from content creation, Neace remains committed to offering private coaching in the future, albeit with a higher premium on his time. He stressed that this break is necessary for his personal recovery and well-being.
Neace’s decision comes after years of criticism from some corners of the competitive League of Legends community regarding the cost of his coaching sessions. Although he charged $350 for 90 minutes of private coaching or $250 for an on-stream session, many have lauded his coaching abilities. Neace has also provided a plethora of free coaching videos on YouTube, amassing approximately 150 million views across both of his channels. Additionally, he offered more budget-friendly boot camp options for multiple players.
Furthermore, this announcement follows Neace’s recent revelation of his divorce, a situation he and his ex-spouse both expressed happiness about.
In his farewell video, Neace touched on the broader esports community, addressing the issue of elitism and advocating for greater acceptance and unity. He emphasized that esports should be an inclusive space, not solely focused on professional players. He encouraged everyone in the gaming industry to recognize their worth and not allow elitist attitudes to deter them from pursuing their passions.
Neace concluded his video by expressing gratitude to his coaches, editors, and supporters, expressing hope that they would return when he resumes creating content. He also extended thanks to fellow content creator Dantes for his support during this transitional period.
