CoD on Nintendo Switch 2: Major Changes Require For The Game, All You Need To Know

1 years ago By AI Smith

One of the greatest games on the track Call Of Duty on Nintendo Switch 2 may be a closer reality than we think. And it is that after the final decision on the merger agreement between Activision and Microsoft after their trial against the FTC, the hype and the desire to enjoy the Call of Duty saga has returned more than ever. That is why thinking about the future of the saga and its relationship with Nintendo may be of interest to many. In this article, we bring you the key aspects that the next Call of Duty on Nintendo Switch 2 would have to meet.

The Nintendo Switch went on sale in 2017. Since then, 6 years have passed and the evolution of technology and video games themselves is making it clear that Nintendo needs a new console to adapt to future generations. While we can still enjoy great titles like Zelda: TOTK on our Nintendo Switch, the arrival of a new console is necessary.

Elements such as greater storage space or a higher FPS rate and resolution, both in a portable format and on television, arrive from an upcoming CoD more successful on Nintendo Switch 2. Therefore, the arrival of this console could coincide with the return of one of the best war game sagas in history.

The requirements of the next CoD on Nintendo Switch 2

While we’re still going blind on this whole thing, a future CoD on Nintendo Switch 2 would demand a lot of storage space. If we look at the current capacity of Nintendo Switch, which is between 32 GB and 64 GB, and we see that one of the latest games for the console, such as EA Sports FC 24, will ask for 31 GB of storage, it is most likely that the future Call of Duty for Nintendo Switch is around 40 to 60 GB, and that’s being generous.

Hence, one of the keys to seeing Call of Duty on Nintendo Switch goes through a new console that corrects, among others, some weak points of the current one such as storage. All this is if we want the Call of Duty that appears on our console to be as similar as possible to that of the rest of the platforms.

With the arrival of a Nintendo Switch 2 and the corresponding hardware improvements, we cannot ask for less than having the official version of the next Call of Duty and not a “Legacy” version.

And it is worth mentioning, but the online component and variety of customization and game modes have to be another of the requirements that the future Call of Duty addresses without problems for both other platforms and for Nintendo Switch 2.

What could be the theme of the next CoD?

Recent Call of Duty games have made a big effort to portray themselves as a “reboot” of the renowned Modern Warfare franchise. If we add to these that part of the resources and innovation of the saga have gone to Call of Duty: Warzone and its second part, it would not be surprising if the next Call of Duty opts for a somewhat more futuristic theme (type world war 3), or continue with the reboot of the Modern Warfare saga. A return to the past and conflicts of the 20th century such as the Second or First World War seem unlikely.

However, Activision’s creative capacity has always ended up surprising us. It must be taken into account that more futuristic games such as Black Ops 4, Advance Warfare or Infinite Warfare did not end up having as much pull within the community, so Activision will surely play it safe and focus on the present or the near future for its next launch.

What would the future CoD on Nintendo Switch 2 have to highlight?

It’s hard to guess what the next strong point of the future Call of Duty will be. However, there are a series of characteristics that, if fulfilled, could be a real hoot and a sales success for the Nintendo Switch 2 console:

  • Online game compatibility with players from other platforms.
  • Perfect gameplay with the use of the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con.
  • Good performance of the title in the portable version of the Nintendo Switch 2 and also in its desktop version.
  • That it is not a Legacy version for the console, or with content cut from other platforms such as Xbox or PlayStation.
  • A current setting or dealing with war or conflict shortly could sell much more than one focused on World War II or a very dystopian future.
  • Ability to use Nintendo Switch 2 hardware to create seamless immersion using voice chat, headsets, or surround sound.
  • All this can be fulfilled or not, and even Activision and Nintendo can surprise us even more in the future. However, this list is something that the future Call of Duty for Nintendo Switch 2 would have to meet at least.
