2D Super Mario Game Rumour: What to expect, development date and more

1 years ago By AI Smith

A leaker who revealed the existence of Sonic Superstars and Everybody 1-2-Switch ahead of their announcements notes that a new 2D Mario and SNES remake will be announced at the next Nintendo Direct.

In recent days, numerous rumours have emerged that suggest that a new Nintendo Direct is just around the corner, although at the moment the digital event has not been confirmed by Nintendo itself. As usual with this type of event leaks, some reports have not taken long to emerge that highlight the content that we could see, among which we can highlight a publication by Pyoro, a Twitter filter that ensures not only that the Big N is working in a new Super Mario Bros in 2D, but this would be announced in the next Nintendo Direct.

Although the user has not specified where he got the information that Nintendo is working on a new Mario in two dimensions, it should be noted that this has a solid history when it comes to leaks. Without going any further, Pyoro revealed the existence of Sonic Superstars before its official presentation at the Summer Game Fest 2023 and Everybody 1-2-Switch before Nintendo announced it through its social networks.

Focusing on the “remake of a classic SNES game” mentioned in the same post, the user has not provided any further information, although some users speculate that it could be an update to Chrono Trigger or Super Mario RPG.

Is New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe worth it?

“New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is the most complete version of one of the best 2D platform titles of the last generation. We are not going to deny that we would have liked to have included some significant innovations, such as new modes or worlds, but the truth is that its 164 levels guarantee fun for many hours.

After all, they are still two games in one. If you like the genre, you miss Mario in its most classic aspect and you missed it in its time, don’t make the mistake of letting it escape again”, we concluded in our analysis of one of the most complete 2D Mario games to date.
