Call Of Duty Modern Warfare III: Will The Game Be Available On Xbox One And PS4?
While we continue to develop and progress through the console era, wherein several gaming studios and developers are neglecting the traditional Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. However, Call of Duty developer Activision is going against this trend by ensuring that it’s latest offering Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 remains available to players on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 To Be Available on PS4 and Xbox One
IGN shared a report which gave insights on the origins of the current confusing scenario, attributing it to TheGamingRevolution, a well-known content producer focused on Call of Duty. Their tweet on 10th August 2023 gave rise to the confusion which featured an image sourced from the Microsoft store. The image seemed to state that Modern Warfare 3 would only run on the new Xbox Series X|S.
This update gave rise to uncertainty, particularly, taking into account the fact that only a few days prior, PlayStation had shared an MW3 trailer on its YouTube channel. The trailer by PlayStation was titled ‘Modern Warfare III – is Coming | PS5 & PS4 Games.’
The IGN report also suggested that the official Xbox website has also been updated after the picture was tweeted. Currently, the website says that Modern Warfare 3 will be Xbox One compatible.
About Modern Warfare 3
Not a lot of details about MW3 have been disclosed, however, one thing that the fans can be assured of is that the iconic villain Makarov is set to make a return to challenge players once again. This will evoke a sense of nostalgia among all the Call of Duty fans. The grand reveal of MW3 is scheduled to take place during a Warzone event which will happen on August 17.
Similarly, Activision’s network of internal Call of Duty developers along with Sledgehammer Games, are all set to launch Modern Warfare III on November 10th 2023.
All Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 players will be able to bring over their operators, firearms, and acquisitions from MW2/Warzone to the latest version of the game.
Insider-Gaming also released a report, which stated that Modern Warfare III will grant campaign early access beginning from November 2nd 2023. It will also feature Beta weekends that are scheduled for October 6-10 exclusively on PlayStation and from October 12-16 on all other platforms.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is an upcoming first-person shooter (FPS) video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. Being the twentieth game in the Call of Duty series, and third entry in the rebooted Modern Warfare sub-series, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 serves as the sequel to 2022’s Modern Warfare II.
The game is scheduled to hit the shelves and delight audience on November 10, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It will be released as part of a single cross-game launcher, known as Call of Duty HQ. Activision did a full reveal of the game this month on August 17, 2023.
