Migi To Dali Anime Series Drops The New Trailer With An Ending Theme
Nami Sano’s popular manga series called Migi & Dali (Migi to Dari) will now be made into a brand-new anime series. The upcoming new series was officially announced on Twitter through a promotional trailer and is confirmed for an October release. The promotional trailer also revealed that there would be new characters that fans can look forward to meet. Kadokawa first announced the anime adaptation in December 2021 while the key visuals and official website was unveiled in July 2022.
What is Migi and Dali about?
Written and illustrated by the late Nami Sano, Migi and Dali or Migi to Dari is a seinen manga series that revolves around twin brothers, Migi and Dali, whose mother had been murdered when they were young. The two boys took an oath to find and exact revenge upon the murderers. Then one of them gets adopted by an old childless couple. Using this to their advantage, the twins decide to go undercover as one person under the name Hitori and keep switching roles to hide that they are twins.
The mystery manga was Sano’s last piece of work before her untimely death on 5th August 2023 due to cancer. So, the anime adaptation of her manga is set to be a tribute to her work and memory. One of Sano’s best-known manga was ‘Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto.
The anime introduction on the official website read as, “Twin boys Migi and Dali, who were living in an orphanage, were adopted by a wealthy and gentle old couple, Mr. and Mrs. Sonoyama. However, it was not as two boys “Migi” and “Dali,” but as one boy named “Sonoyama Hitori.” The two hide their identities and melt into Orgon village while playing Sonoyama’s secret bird. Why are they playing one person as two people? It had a great secret and a terrifying purpose.”

The official social media account of the upcoming adaptation have also released more information on the anime. In the official trailer, the opening theme song is called ‘Yūmaga Doki’ and it’s performed by Soraru and Rib. The new trailer also gave people a glimpse into the gorgeous visuals of the titular characters and what fans can expect when it comes out. It has also been confirmed that the anime will be released sometime in October 2023.

The anime is created at the animation studio Geek Toys in collaboration with Comp Town. It is directed by Mankyū and Mamoru Enomoto is the assistant director. The chief animation director is Ayumi Nishibata who will also be in charge of the character designs. The music composer is Hiroko Sebu. The voice casts for the anime have also been released.
